How to Plan a Spring break: “If I knew then what I know now…” Complete for you.

Little do people know that even though spring break happens in March and April, you can plan your trip ALL YEAR! And believe it or not, it’s better to do it early because you’ll probably get a better deal for planning early. Read on minions…

Travel Companions: Choosing the right people to go with you for break is almost as important as remembering you plane tickets. You want to hop on your social networks and find the best people to go with. Face book and my space are good and there’s no doubt you’ll use them, but there are actually online spring break social networks that are a good source to meet people, or just to keep your travel group on the same page.

Price Expected: Spring break trips usually last about a week and will run you purse or wallet about a grand. Some spring break companies give really great deals if your savvy and you book it early. It’s definitely worth it to shop around. Speaking from personal experience, you want to go with the company that is going to provide entertainment like shows etc. As far as your group goes, the more, the cheaper.

Spending money: Most companies will tell you to put away about $300-$400 dollars pocket money for the week. You’ll be spending your money mostly on cover charges to night clubs, food, drinks, and buying your friends drinks, etc. If you’re from the city like I am, you’ll appreciate that you’ll actually be saving money by going, because you won’t need to pay for parking for an entire week. Where: There are many spring break destinations you can hit. It really depends on what you fancy. The hottest and most popular spot for spring break is Cancun, that’s in Mexico (: It’s quite the party central and it usually has the best entertainment. Student city is known for their celebrity guests and music entertainment. There’s also Jamaica, Acapulco, Florida, etc. More Destination info…

Body Planning: You have to factor in that you’ll be spending most of your trip half naked on the beach and that all of your friends are going to be taking pictures of who, and what ever is hanging out. The most important thing is that you look and feel comfortable. You should be on a balance diet anyway, but it may be a good idea to hit the gym a little harder the week or two before. You won’t regret it when you see the photos later.

Dollar Store Prep: You’re going to need some suitcase stuff and after fronting the check for the plane tickets, and the hotel, you’re going to want to stay cheap. I’ve found that picking up travel size sun screen and toothpaste at your pharmacy is actually more money that a normal size. Hit up a dollar store and grab what you need before you leave. If something is the wrong size and they won’t let you fly with it, no worries, it just cost a dollar anyway. More in depth about dollar store buying…

Hope my experiences have made good tips and have helped while planning your trip.
